The doctor–patient relationship is the key element of the problem of medical ethics in general and medical deontology in particular. This is explained by the specific character of doctor’s work, especially in paediatrics, to whom the patient and their parents intrust their health and life. The defenceless trust of a small patient and their family requires from the surgeon not only professional skills, but also high moral qualities, sensitivity and patience.References
