The results of the 40-year study made by the researchers of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Anesthesiology of Kharkiv National Medical University with the aim of the improvement of treatment of the acute pyoinflammatory diseases in children are presented in the article. The long-term research permitted to create the entire scientific school of the paediatric surgery and accumulated the wealth of experience and expertise in the treatment of severe surgical diseases in children.References
